Frequently Asked Questions

Please find below some information and a list of FAQ’s, hopefully these will answer any questions you might have. If not, then please contact us.

Style and approach
Other than the formal group shots and a select number of bride and groom images, the majority of images will be candid shots. This allows you and your guests to relax and enjoy the wedding without worrying about the photography. This style of photography produces images that capture the story of your day.

Getting to know you
It is important that we meet up before your wedding to discuss your requirements and to run through the arrangements. This gives you the opportunity to meet me and ask any additional questions you may have.

Choosing your pictures
Approximately two weeks after your wedding, you will receive your proof DVD and if required, your proofs will be available to view online at our website. This gives you and friends & family the chance to view the photos and if required, to purchase any additional prints / products.

How long will you stay on the wedding day?
We can stay as long as you like, however we normally start by photographing the bride getting ready and continue until the wedding breakfast. You can arrange to extend the coverage if required.

Do we get all the pictures?
Yes, normally within two weeks of your wedding you will receive two DVD’s, containing the prints of everything we shoot on the day that passes our quality control. This will be at least 400 pictures (depending on your wedding package). One DVD will be a numbered slideshow to enable you to choose the photos for your album and the other will contain Hi-res copies of the proof images to enable you to print your own pictures and send them to family and friends.

When will we get to see the photographs?
Within a few days I will post a few of your images on the blog-site/Facebook Page and in most cases you will receive your proof DVD within two weeks of your wedding.

Can friends & family buy the pictures?
Yes, we can create a secure online gallery for you where your friends and family can also purchase prints of your wedding.

Can we provide you with a list of photographs we require taking?
Yes of course, although our style is predominantly candid, reportage photography, we will be there to photograph your day as you want. We will photograph whatever / whoever you would like. A list of photographs can be prepared during the consultation session. You will however need to ensure you allow enough time on your wedding day for these photographs to be taken.

Who will be our photographers?
Kris Pendlebury will be your main photographer and point of contact for your wedding, he only photographs one wedding per day. The second photographer will vary depending on availability but is normally Kayte Allen of imagesbykayte.

Do we have to meet you to book you?
No you do not have to meet us however we always find it better to get together prior to the wedding to discuss what is required.

How do we book you?
Please contact us to reserve your wedding day. We will then send you via Email our standard booking contract and invoice for the booking fee. On receipt of your payment, your date will be booked into our diary.

When will we be required to pay for your services?
A booking fee of £250 is required at the time of booking. The balance (less booking fee) is payable four weeks before the wedding. Additional orders for prints, parent’s albums, extra DVD’s etc are payable on order.

Do you charge travel expenses?
Not normally within a 40 mile radius of Wirral. If your wedding is further a field we would normally charge mileage and if an overnight stay is required this would be charged at cost. Please note however we will be up front with these charges prior to you booking your wedding. Mileage charges are calculated using AA Routefinder.

Do you accept Debit/Credit Cards?
We accept all major debit/credit cards or alternatively Paypal. To pay by Debit or Credit card we would send you an invoice via Email containing the payment details.
How safe are my Debit/Credit Card Details?
We have partnered with PayPal to ensure the highest levels of security.
If you wish not to use your Debit/Credit card, you pay by cash or cheque. Please contact us for further information.

Are you insured?
We carry full equipment, public liability, employee liability and professional indemnity insurance. In addition all our electrical equipment is PAT tested.

Do you offer discounts for off peak weddings?
KJP Images is committed to offering the highest quality and service to all their clients through exclusivity and creativity.  The prices charged reflect the costs and time involved (often over a weeks work for each wedding)  in maintaing these standards and as such we are unable to offer any discounts.
