Yesterday my family & I spent the morning at Birkenhead Park to support family members and friends taking part in this years Race For Life in support of Cancer Research UK.
The Race For Life is an emotional event as most people have been affected by cancer and to see over five thousand women in a sea of pink taking part to help in the fight against cancer is very humbling.
Everyone made the effort, from the entertainment, warm-up and minutes applause before the run, the people wearing fancy dress and fighting the pain to complete the run to the runners and supporters who braved the weather and still had a smile when it turned from glorious sunshine to heavy rain.
Well done to everyone who took part and those who have donated to Cancer Research UK, you are all stars.
